One of my favorite parts of making softies is seeing people react to them! Making someone happy is just the greatest thing, and I think one of the reasons why I enjoy sewing up my creature pals as much as I do.

A few months ago, I sent Jean-Claude off to live with a wonderful family on beautiful Gabriola Island. apparently JC has been having a ball exploring the island, judging by these adorable photos his new family sent to me!

‘in a field of flowers’                              ‘out on a limb’

The last softies you’ve seen on this blog were designed for the Emily Carr Student Art Show. I started creating them on a whim, but these little softies quickly won my heart!

I’ve spent the past months creating new designs and sourcing new material and I’m very excited to announce that I will be opening a permanent home for these creatures in cyber space!

www.whipstitchbackstitch.com will be opening soon! In the meantime I am stitching feverishly in anticipation!

Also, a big thanks goes out to Globex Designs for all their help with the website, I couldn’t have done it without them!

I’m so thrilled to be able to spend time in my life making beautiful things for beautiful people, I hope you get as much joy from them as I do!
