DaWanda is a new website designed for crafters and artisans to promote and sell their wares, similar to ETSY (which all of us in North America are so familiar with). I love DaWanda because of the European flavor and the more international variety of sellers. And so, I’ve made the leap, and begun listing my creations on DaWanda!

Stop by DaWanda and visit the Whipstitch Backstitch shop here.

I thought I would share a pair of one of my favorite Whipstitch Backstitch families with you. The Yetii! Harold (tan) and Yota (white) are both yetii, but hail from opposite sides of the globe.

Harold is a west coast Yeti (close cousin of the Sasquatch) while Yota is a Japanese mountain Yeti, and lover of snow. These two, and the rest of the yeti family will be available exclusively on the Whipstitch Backstitch website.

The last softies you’ve seen on this blog were designed for the Emily Carr Student Art Show. I started creating them on a whim, but these little softies quickly won my heart!

I’ve spent the past months creating new designs and sourcing new material and I’m very excited to announce that I will be opening a permanent home for these creatures in cyber space!

www.whipstitchbackstitch.com will be opening soon! In the meantime I am stitching feverishly in anticipation!

Also, a big thanks goes out to Globex Designs for all their help with the website, I couldn’t have done it without them!

I’m so thrilled to be able to spend time in my life making beautiful things for beautiful people, I hope you get as much joy from them as I do!
